we help take the stress out of moving

Finding Packing Boxes Or Purchasing Boxes.

A year ago, my family moved from our 2-bedroom apartment in the city to a 3-bedroom apartment near the university. My husband had just been accepted to a graduate program, and because I was pregnant at the time with our second child, we really needed a bigger place.

As the impending move date arrived we started making lists of all of the things we needed to get done. At the top of the list, was to find moving boxes.

Although our move wasn’t far, we decided to rent a small rental truck. For a fee, we could get boxes from the rental company. The boxes were quite sturdy, and a good size for moving, however we did not really feel that a cardboard box was something worth spending money on, so we started looking around for other options.

We asked friends, neighbors and people at work for good places to get moving boxes. The advice we received was to check with managers of the local supermarkets. Another good source of boxes was the local university my husband was attending. Research departments order lab supplies daily, and there were always a good assortment of varying sizes of boxes to choose from.
